In 2012

In 2012, the establishment of the Busan Tourism Organization was promoted.

In 2013

In 2013, the Busan Tourism Organization (BTO) was founded.

2014

01. 01The HQ building was relocated to Centum Science Park.
03. 10Organizational Reform: The Busan Youth Hostel Arpina became a self-supporting financial entity.
03. 13Kim Su-byeong took office as the second president of the organization (BTO).

2015

01. 27Arpina received the grand prize in the youth hostel category at the Korea Best Brand Awards.
01. 28Kim Gwang-hoe, Head of the Culture and Tourism Division, became the acting president of the organization (BTO).
05. 13Executive Director Shin Yong-sam became the acting president of the organization (BTO).
08. 28The organization (BTO) won the Korea Young MICE Supporters award.
11. 02Shim Jeong-bo took office as the second president of BTO.

2016

07. 01The organization (BTO) took over the management of Taejongdae Recreation Area.
10. 01~23 The organization (BTO) held the 1st Busan One Asia Festival.
11. 28BTO became the first organization to be certified as a family-friendly company by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
12. 01The organization (BTO) took over the management of Yongdusan Park.
12. 08The organization (BTO) was named the “Star of Korean Tourism” (for the Old Downtown Story Tour) by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

2017

05. 25The organization (BTO) won the grand prize at the Korea Good Brand Awards.
06. 01The organization (BTO) opened Busan Tourism Promotion Office Taipei.
07. 03The organization (BTO) opened Busan Tourism Promotion Office Osaka.
